Ascaine (pronounced Az•kane) is a publishing imprint for books and authors stepping into something new.

The name joins the Latin ascendere (to rise) with the Greek kainos (new, fresh, unprecedented). That pairing reflects our role: helping books and authors rise with new direction and opportunity.

We work with first-time authors bringing a message to life, experienced writers exploring new ground, and important works being reimagined for new audiences. Whether starting from scratch or building on existing work, we help books take shape and reach their readers.

Ascaine is a selective, full-service imprint with North American distribution. We don’t publish everything. Each project is carefully reviewed to ensure it’s the right fit for both the author and for us.
